PlusOne were originally part of Select & Protect, a company launched in 1983 specialising in the provision of general insurance via financial intermediaries. Select & Protect built a very successful business with a strong reputation for excellent customer service and in 2001 the Hood Group was formed with Select & Protect concentrating on sales and marketing activity and PlusOne being launched as a specialist administrator focusing on sales and back-office administration on behalf of its’ clients.

Since then, PlusOne has worked a wide variety of organisations to launch successful insurance solutions, and now handle over £60m of annualised premium income and employ 200 people. Clients are provided with the ability to concentrate on their core business activities and growing their account without the need to invest in costly infrastructure to service the increased volumes.
